Canada Puppet workshop

Our puppetry in care workshop at conference hosted by WP Puppet Theatre

Creativity In Care work is values led, so everything we do is held within a framework that adapts to people’s preferences.  There’s usually a good mix of theory, discussion, practical fun and reflection. One of our strengths is in making programmes accessible to a wide range of people for a richer experience.

Our objectives include the following:

  • needs and solutions business plan 2016We facilitate learning programmes for continuing professional development (care staff, artists, managers) about community engagement, arts and wellbeing, creative communication, positive dementia care and person-focused approaches.

  • We co-create socially engaged arts projects with people of all ages and abilities. These usually lead to an exhibition about the topic or an arts installation; or a booklet by the participants to support other people or to share creativityincare-art-of-caring-nov-smltheir creativity; or a performance or a film.
  • Toolkit-Image-1-smallerWe develop and produce learning resources (e.g. Permission Statements; Puppetry Connection Toolkits: Happiness Policy).  Profits from these sales will help raise funds for the community projects, materials, transport and project costs.
