Poetry In Motion needs funds and is about to launch a crowd-funding campaign. Pledges will receive Poetry In Motion creations. Meanwhile read about the project here:
What is Poetry In Motion?
It is a creative writing experience for all abilities inspired by visiting different locations and focusing on different forms of movement. Experienced writers, novice writers, writers living with dementia or mental ill health share the creative time with supportive and friendly facilitators. There is time allocated for people to work on their own or with support. Feedback shows overwhelming appreciation of diversity and increased sense of valuing.
Poetry In Motion came out of community projects 2014-15. It was part funded by Highland Adult Learning (High Life Highland) in 2015. The programme restarted in 2016 with grateful support from Foundation Scotland through Sports Relief Community Fund. A recent Poetry In Motion event was held at Inverness Museum and Art Gallery in response to local artist Katy Dove.
